New Amazon Kindle on the Web means more blog passive income

By | September 28, 2010

Amazon has just launched it’s beta for the Kindle on the Web. The Kindle On the Web offering allows for you to view sample Kindle books on the web through a embedded widget on a website or blog. The new program will also allow for Amazon Associates to earn commission when people purchase the Sample versions of the books that you post. Currently advertising payout fees for Kindle devices, Kindle books, Kindle accessories, and Kindle newspaper, magazine, & blogs subscriptions range from 4% to 8.5%.

So how much can my blog make?

Amazon has not posted the referral fees for the Kindle books beta program yet but I expect the payout will be similar to the payout fees mentioned above. This fits well with the payouts expected in my previous postings on generating a passive income with WordPress and Increasing WordPress blog hits to improve Adsense clicks.

Ready to get started?

Well sign up for the Associate program or visit the Kindle on the Web page today. Here is an example of the Amazon product link and an embedded link example to a book in your blog. We will see if these start replacing Youtube videos as the things to embed in most people’s blog postings.
