Sites to help you learn how to make .Net web services

Microsoft .Net logo for web services Currently I’m working on a project that requires the use of ASP.NET web services for the storing and acquiring of data with a SQL server 2008 database. The information on creating web services with Visual Studio is vast when searching via Google, so I decided to share a list of good sites I’ve come across.

Here are a list of sites to review that will help with the development of Web Services:

WCF 4http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee354381.aspx

ASP.NET Web Serviceshttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/t745kdsh.aspx

Restful services with WCFhttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dd315413.aspx

Create JSon web service in .NEThttp://williamsportwebdeveloper.com/cgi/wp/?p=494

I expect to write an article on using WCF to build web services versus writing ASP.NET web services soon since it is one of the key decisions one will make when deciding on how to build a web services using Microsoft technology. I’ll also add more sites to this list as I find them so be sure to check back occasionally. Hope this is helpful!
