Do you want to get a free Blackberry playbook? Well you can with the promotional offer by RIM. RIM is offering the Blackberry Playbook FREE to anyone who creates a new App World application before March 31st! If you wondering where to download the Blackberry SDK, you can check out a previous article I wrote here.

Blackberry playbook release date pending

This promotion by RIM is a opportunity for developers to get their applications in the Blackberry App Store before the playbook is released. The announced release date for the Blackberry playbook was moved to April 19th. Although the March 31st is right around the corner, Blackberry has made it simple for developers to qualify by requiring that the new blackberry application only be submitted for approval. Therefore if you can make a simple application using the Webworks SDK, you can qualify for the free device without worrying about having final release approval from Blackberry.

Time to bring your business to blackberry app world

Blackberry has also made it easier for small businesses and individuals to get approved for Blackberry App World access by reducing the requirements and streamlining the process. At first they wanted people to submit a motorized document certifying who they were. They have now eliminated that requirement making it a easier process to begin development and app world submission by small businesses and individuals.

So do you think you will submit an application? Please let a comment below and I’ll be sure to check it out! **Update : Check out our first Blackberry app here as this contest is over. Also check out the $25,000 contest by Paypal that is still on!**

Hi ruffien, Unfortunately the playbook is not an application. It is a tablet device by Blackberry.
