First Android apps released to Google and Amazon

By | July 6, 2011

Android logo I’m excited to announce that Blue Crystal Web Design has released its first Android mobile applications to the Google Android Market and the Amazon app store! The two applications, Bark Dog Bark! and QR Phone Lite are very simple applications and hopefully are the first of many to come for us. The free version of our Bark Dog Bark! application already has over 1000 downloads and has only been available for about 7 days.

Are these essential android apps?

Well, not really. We decided to keep it simple and just target a specific need within the Android mobile community. We are also investigating the paid vs free model of application development in order to give our clients specific examples and information through our experience. Right now we are offering our Bark Dog Bark! as a free Lite version and a $0.99 paid version. The $0.99 version offers a few more features than the free version. Over the next few months we plan on releasing more simple Android applications and participating in some of the Android Developer competitions. Let me know what you think and if you are in the process of developing your latest Android application.

BTW, here is the book I used to get started in Android development. Enjoy and good luck!
